Terms And Conditions

1. Scope

These basic rules form part of the terms and conditions and govern the entire relationship between the User (hereinafter referred to as “you”) and Khat Alhayat Project Management Services & Insurance Brokers (hereinafter referred to as “Khat Alhayat”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Separate conditions may apply to other products and services.

By accessing this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you may not access or use the platform.

By accessing the Platform, you are agreeing to receive Khat Alhayat's offers unless you deactivate the subscription to marketing materials and product offers. Khat Alhayat reserves the right to change or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Such changes will take effect once posted on the Platform. You agree to be bound by any changes or modifications when you use the Platform after updates are posted. Following any update, you will receive a notification.

2. License of Use

Unless otherwise stated, Khat Alhayat owns the intellectual property rights and material on its digital platforms. You may not:

  • Modify or copy the materials.
  • Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial).
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Khat Alhayat’s digital platforms.
  • Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials.
  • Transfer the materials to another person or “mirror” the materials on any other server.
  • Hack or attempt to hack the platform by any means or for any purpose.

Violation of the foregoing provisions will result in the loss of the right to use the license.

 

3. Identity Verification

We are obligated by applicable laws and regulations to verify your identity before opening an account. This requirement is fulfilled via video identification and other required documents. While this is an automated process, employees may conduct verification checks if necessary.

4. User Data

User Data refers to any material you submit to the Platform for any purpose. Khat Alhayat commits to protecting Users’ data in accordance with Bahrain’s Law No. 30 of 2018 regarding Personal Data Protection (PDPL).

5. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Khat Alhayat will not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, consequential, or special loss.
  • Any business losses, loss of revenue, income, profits, anticipated savings, contracts, goodwill, or data corruption.

Platform content is provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis, with no representation or warranty regarding its availability, timeliness, or accuracy.

6. User Lock

We may temporarily lock your account if consecutive incorrect password or biometric identification attempts are made. Assistance to reset your account or password can be requested from our Customer Contact Centre at +97 335 430 388.

7. Expiry of Session

We may automatically disconnect inactive sessions without prior notice, based on time limits set by us. If you log in on another device, an active session on the previous device will be disconnected automatically.

8. Third Parties

We may engage third-party agents or service providers to deliver platform services. While reasonable care will be taken in their selection, Khat Alhayat will not be responsible for loss, delay, or failure caused by third parties.

9. Data Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate and real data during registration and service use. This includes personal information required to fulfill your requests.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, platform usage, data privacy provisions, and procedures are governed by the applicable laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Client Consent

By using this application, I, the User, acknowledge that I understand and agree to the following: 1. Identity Verification and eKYC Platform (“Wathiq”): I consent to the use of the Wathiq platform, developed by The Benefit Company, to authenticate and verify my identity and information from the Information & eGovernment Authority (IGA) and other relevant institutions periodically for services provided by Khat Alhayat Project Management Services & Insurance Brokers. 2. Data Collection: Wathiq will collect and process the following information in line with Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) requirements:
  • Personal and ID Information.
  • Contact Information.
  • Account Details.
  • Employment Details.
  • Residency Information.
3. Data Retention and Sharing: My information will be retained by Khat Alhayat for 10 years and may be shared with third parties within or outside Bahrain for regulatory, cloud storage, statistical, or other legitimate purposes in compliance with applicable laws. 4. Consent Withdrawal: I have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal will apply to future use of personal data and will not affect its legitimate use prior to withdrawal.
